McLaren Repairs

With ownership of a McLaren, you are driving the fruits of the latest technology and craftsmanship from by British sports car specialist founded by legendary racer Bruce McLaren. It’s recommended to seek repairs through a McLaren-authorized dealer, who has firsthand knowledge of these vehicles, as well as being up to date in the latest service bulletins issued by the manufacturer.

In the case of a McLaren on lease, many of these arrangements including those originating from McLaren Automotive and its financial services partner, Ally Financial Services, will require the use of McLaren original equipment parts when making the car whole again.

While certain independent shops may offer automotive services for your McLaren car, you can be assured McLaren dealers will be using genuine McLaren parts in performing repairs. Depending on the dealer, certain prepaid maintenance packages may be available. Check with your McLaren Service department associate for more information.

Training

Dealership mechanics receive factory training on the latest techniques through the McLaren Automotive certification program. Here they learn what’s necessary to keep your McLaren running properly. They include courses instructing them on the latest techniques in paint, body and electrical/mechanical repairs. In the case of McLaren and its special materials such as carbon fiber used in the construction of the latest models, technicians receive special training in its use and handling to make sure your McLaren car looks and runs as though it were new.

Loan car policy

If your McLaren vehicle is in for a warranty-covered repair, McLaren does not usually offer loaner cars. If you are a regular customer of an individual dealer, some may offer exceptions for repairs taking more than four hours. If your car is in for collision repair, and the dealer has no available loaners, your insurance policy may cover the costs of securing a rental vehicle. Collision repairs

McLaren maintains a network of dealer body shops and McLaren-certified independent shops to work on and repair McLaren vehicles that have been in collisions. In some cases, they are body shops that are connected to McLaren dealerships, or are highly regarded and McLaren-certified independent shops, known for high-quality work using specific McLaren OEM parts.
