Maserati Maintenance Schedules Q&A

Maserati Maintenance Pricing & Schedules

The five brothers, Alfieri, Bindo, Carlo, Ettore, and Ernesto Maserati probably had no idea about the twists and turns their namesake company took to get where they are today. When they started the brand back in 1926, they were just a small independent constructor of Italian luxury sports cars. Owned by Fiat, and later Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), since 1993, the company which boasts Neptune’s Trident as their logo, has enjoyed record sales in recent years.

Now based in Modena, Italy, the company is largely out of the sports car market, instead concentrating on luxury coupes, and sedans. They have even branched out and now offer a Maserati SUV. Like all vehicles on the road, Maserati Automobiles and SUVs require proper maintenance to get the most out of them. As an assist to owners, Maserati has compiled a schedule of service needs. By following these schedules your Maserati vehicle will provide many years of driving enjoyment.

Maserati Maintenance Guidelines

Dashboard Alerts 600 Miles Before Service Deadline

The guidelines for your Maserati center around a Scheduled Maintenance Service Indicator that will alert you via a lighted wrench icon on the dashboard, approximately 600 miles before the service deadline. A schedule of annual checkups that help to maintain your individual vehicle is also called for, that coincides with the dashboard alert. During this annual visit, your Maserati service mechanic will replace the vehicle’s synthetic engine oil, oil filter and in-cabin pollen filter. It would also be a suitable time to rotate your tires to ensure the longest life possible from them.

Every other year, your Maserati mechanic will replace the engine air filter, and then inspect the vehicle’s alternator belt, hydraulic steering control, fuel injection, braking and cooling systems, among other parts.

Extended Warranty and Maintenance Plans

Every new Maserati is covered by a New Car Limited Warranty that is transferable and lasts for 4 years/50,000 miles (whichever comes first). As part of this program, Maserati North America, Inc., includes 24/7 roadside assistance on all new vehicles sold in the U.S. and Canada. Towing is available by calling 1-888-371–1802 for transportation to the nearest authorized Maserati dealership when needed. Overnight repairs requiring rental vehicles may be provided through the program.

Maserati also offers an extended warranty program which allows you to extend the coverage to 6 years/100,000 miles. The Maserati extended warranty provides the same coverage as the comprehensive warranty, while the Maserati limited extended warranty program offers protection for the main mechanical components which generally means the drivetrain.

Maserati Premium Prepaid Scheduled Maintenance Program

For those wishing to lock in future maintenance at today’s prices, Maserati offers the Premium Prepaid Scheduled Maintenance program with checks and replacements in the standard Maserati Maintenance Schedule. Available programs range from 24 months/25,000 miles to 48 months/50,000 miles at prices that range from $995 to $2,799.

To quell any fears over certified pre-owned ownership, Maserati offers an extended warranty program. This program provides clients an extended warranty for 6 years/100,000 miles from the vehicle’s first date of service. Coverage is transferable, which adds value to any subsequent sale of your Maserati vehicle.
