Land Rover produces luxury SUVs in the form of three models: Range Rover, Discovery and Evoque. However, focusing on the production of a limited model range can still results in recalls. Over the past few years there have been campaigns involving defective airbags, seatbelts and doors.

Land Rover recalled 550 vehicles over air bag inflator initiators on the front passenger side. The affected vehicles were 2016 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport and 2017 Evoque models. In the case of a crash, the air bag may not inflate, increasing the risk of an injury. The fix requires the replacement of the passenger side airbag and will be done by dealers for no cost to owners.

In 2016, 13,500 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport and 2016-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles were recalled over faulty seatbelt pretensioners. The issue is that they may not work correctly in the event of a crash and not restrain occupants, risking injury. As of April 2018, 88.8 percent of vehicles had been repaired or inspected. According to the NHTSA, that accounts for all possible vehicles, with the other 11.2 percent of vehicles deemed out of service or unavailable for repair.

In another recall, 2013-2016 Range Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport models totaling 65,372 vehicles are part of a program to deal with unsecure door latches. A keyless entry software update is required to fix the issue. Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows a recall completion rate of 72.1 percent as of January 2017.
