Ferrari Repairs

After purchasing your Ferrari, repairs are best left to a Ferrari factory-authorized dealer who is the first point of reference in the proper care and maintenance of your car. With such a specialized vehicle, they and factory-certified facilities will have firsthand knowledge of your Ferrari, as well as the latest recall notices and service bulletins as issued by the manufacturer.

In the case of a leased Ferrari vehicle, many of these contracts including those from Ferrari Financial Services (FFS) will require the use of genuine Ferrari original equipment parts when making the car whole again. In some cases, insurance companies will pay only to a certain point. Any overage may result in an out of pocket expenditure to be paid by you.

For certain Ferrari vehicles with specialized construction elements such as aluminum panels and frames, as seen on many of the modern cars from Maranello, a factory-approved shop may be the only option for a proper repair. They are equipped with the proper Alcoa chassis jigs to do the job right.

Training

Ferrari approved repair mechanics receive factory training on the latest techniques and procedures. These programs include instruction through the Ferrari Training Center, where technicians work towards a factory certification as a reference expert in any of the brand’s 52 markets worldwide

Loan car policy

There are typically no Ferrari loaner vehicles. If your Ferrari happens to be on the losing side of a shunt, your insurance company might provide alternative transportation. If it requires any sort of warranty repairs within the 3-year/unlimited mile warranty period, alternative transportation may be available under Ferrari’s warranty coverage. Collision repairs

In the United States, Ferrari has a factory-approved network of six specialized collision and body repair centers throughout the country. These facilities receive the latest technical printouts and updates on proper care and service advisories for most of the fleet, which is information that a standard body shop service provider may not be able to meet.

The advantage for dealerships and independent collision facilities is that after passing the Ferrari certification process, they are the first to receive specific training for the various model vehicles not to mention the latest tools and post-repair scanning equipment to make sure the procedures are followed exactly.
